Australasian Bioplatics

The ABA administers the process to verify that the product meets the requirements of AS4736 or AS5810. There are other factors than conformance with the requirements of the standard that dictate whether a product is compostable. These can include acceptance by the organics recycler, contents or contamination, process technology at the organics recycler, overall collection and organics recycling infrastructure, regulations, local government guidelines and so on.
